i got my new boots today! they're composite-toe boots, and both of them together weigh about the same as just one of my old steel-toes. they also seem much more comfortable!
i realized another horrible thing about the recession. people don't get babysitters, they just bring their babies/toddler everywhere with them - including R rated movies. at least THREE babies cried during the hangover... i wanted to strangle someone.
there were also so many small children crying/mumbling in church, that it was far from a peaceful event. take your child outside, please.
i won't even get into the chick at the race this weekend that didn't take off her hat for the national anthem... or the guys behind me that talked and laughed through the whole thing. is 2 minutes of respect too much to ask?
ok, i swear i'm not totally bitter.
the race with my dad was awesome! ok, the race wasn't great... even the driver apologized, but the aerodynamics of the cars don't let them run side by side well... but the event was good :) i also took my dad to dogfish head alehouse, my favorite restaurant :)
if i didn't have a dog, i think i'd be seeking part-time employment, like waitressing or something. duke is pretty much a part time job, and i kind of want to get another dog for him to play with...

After you've bonded w/your new pup, I'm 100% for multipul dogs. They're pack animals and most tend to stress less when they have another pooch with them. Aaaand the added benefit of the mental stimulation if you get a compatible second dog is HUGE! Hope it all works out. Keep the pics coming on facebook!
